Takeaway counters Available now

A token ordering system for counters with no tables.

For a takeaway counter, a food truck, a bakery or a home kitchen with walk-in customers, SYQAVO works as a token ordering system. You hand each customer a numbered token card. They scan its QR code, order on their own phone, and you call their number when the food is ready. Nothing extra to install.

The problem

At a counter, the queue to order is the queue to wait.

Customers wait in line to order, the person taking orders cannot cook, and handwritten tokens get mixed up at the busiest time.

What you get

How the token ordering system works

  • Numbered token cards. Each card is printed with its own QR code and a large number: "Token 1", "Token 2" and so on, in a section you name "Pickup".
  • The customer orders on their phone. They scan the card and the same menu opens as at a table, with sizes, add-ons and notes. No app, no account.
  • The kitchen sees the token number. The order arrives on the kitchen display under its token, with a timer.
  • The phone shows when it is ready. The order moves to "Ready" on the customer’s phone by itself; you call the number and hand the food over.
  • Paid at the counter. Take cash, card or UPI on the billing counter as usual. Once it is paid, close the card and it is clean for the next customer.
  • Safe to reuse. A card with an unpaid order cannot be closed by mistake; after it is closed, the previous customer’s phone can no longer open it.

Good to know

What a counter does not get yet

Token cards use the same screens as table service, so a few things are worded for tables and a few counter features are not built yet. We would rather you know before you start:

  • The screens say “Table Token 7” rather than “Token 7”. It works the same.
  • One card is for one customer and one bill. Two customers must never share a card.
  • There is no single printed code on the counter that every customer scans; each customer needs a card.
  • Orders typed in by staff for phone or delivery-app orders, delivery itself, orders for later, a packaging charge and payment before cooking are not available yet.
  • There is no text message when the order is ready: the customer’s phone shows it.
  • Tax on takeaway can differ from dine-in. SYQAVO applies the same tax settings to every order, so check yours with your accountant.

Questions

Does SYQAVO work for a food truck or a bakery?

Yes, with token cards, when customers order and then wait to collect. Each customer gets a numbered card with its own QR code. Delivery and pre-orders are not available yet.

Do customers need an app?

No. They scan the card with their phone camera and order in the browser.

How many token cards do I need?

As many as customers you serve at the same time, plus a few spare. Most counters start with 10 to 20; you can add more at any time.

What if a customer walks away with the card?

Close the card at the counter once it is paid. A closed card no longer opens the previous customer’s order, and you can print the same code again.
